  • Back-up
  • A copy of a document or a file that is keeping something in a place individuality from the original.
  • Landscape
  •  A way of showing a picture that is wider than it is tall.
  • Orientation
  •   The positioning or overall arrangement of an item related to other items.
  • Portrait
  • A way of showing a picture that is straight it is.
  • Save-as vs save

ENERGY SKATE PARK

Science

I saw a chart that has potential, kinetic and thermal energy. There is chart with three different conditions, friction, gravity and mass. When the skater is at the highest point, it is has potential energy. When it goes down, it is has kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion. If you add friction to the game, the thermal energy will increase and it will slow down the skate board. This energy can be found in real life. For example when you pull back a bow and arrow, the motion is called potential energy. When you shoot the arrow it is kinetic energy. Braking a bike create friction and is a thermal energy. Potential and kinetic mixed together is mechanical.

Simulation

Input mean when you press start in the game the skate board will start going. And output is when you press start the computer makes it moves.

When I press play button, the skater will start moving and when I press the reset button, the skater will get back to the ground. When I set the friction to none, the skater will move faster, if I set the friction to lots, the skater will move slower. If I set the gravity to tiny, the skater will fly out from the track. If I set the person with 100 kg of mass, it will create lots of energy. When I input the skater and press start the computer outputs it. A simulation is molding the real life. If you change the track in the game the skater will follow the track. Variable are used to store information to be reference and manipulated in a computer program. Height means how tall something is.

Game Guide you can follow

  1. You are going to type Energy Skate Park.
  2. Now you can choose the character you like in the column on your right.
  3. You also can choose the mass of the animal you can make it fat or skinny, but sad thing about the character is you can’t really see the fat of the animal.
  4. Now you adjust the gravity to what you like.
  5. Now you adjust the friction to what you like.

When I am going down the slide it is like the skater going down the track. When I am on the top of slide it is like the skater on the top of the track. I think it is fun because I learn a lot about kinetic, potential, and thermal energy. I am surprise because I learn so much the on my test I got a very good grade and just this game I could change my grade so much. I highly recommend my friends because they can learn while playing!

Do you know what is internet?

It works by breaking down data into smaller packet like you chopping big pieces into smaller pieces. Then, sending them across the network fast like Usain Bolt. After that, it reassembling at the destination.

What I learned ?

  1. A network that connects millions of computer worldwide.
  2. A router is a networking device that help in the transfer of data packets between computer networks.
  3. An IP address that allows a system to be recognized by other system connected via Internet protocol.
  4. The router reads the IP address information mentioned on the package and then sends it to the correct path to reach it destination.

WHAT IS A COMPUTER ?

What does CPU stand for? What is its main job?

CPU is the brain of the whole computer. It is responsible for executing instructions and manipulating data.

What kinds of languages did human programmers use to write the programs running on the computer?

Human uses Java, C++, and python to write programs.

What is memory used for?

Memory stores data and instructions for a computer’s CPU to access. It’s like a storage space in the computer which holds the information needed for the CPU to perform task.

Google Docs vs MS Word

Do you think the sites could be useful to you?

Why or Why not?

How are they different than the “look up” or “explore” or “define” function in MS Word or Google Docs?

Oregon Trail (Game Vs Real Life)

WHY?

They can find free land in Oregon and have a better life. They can go to find gold.

https://nebraskastudies.org/en/1800-1849/routes-west/the-oregon-trail/

TAKE WHAT?

They need to bring clothes, food, and medicines because you need to change, you need to eat, and when you are sick you need to eat medicines.

HARD THINGS ?

They might get disease and Native Americans will fight with them.

TRADE AND SAFE

If someone need to trade they can trade or if somebody is sick they can help.
